GSS gets ready for ICMA 2022!
This September GSS will be attending the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Conference in Columbus, Ohio. ICMA is one of the largest gatherings of municipal and regional decision makers and solutions providers in all North America and acts as one of the biggest networking events connecting public servants and businesses each year. This year marks the 108th annual ICMA conference! 2022 marks several firsts for ICMA. This year will be the first in-person ICMA event since the beginning of the ongoing pandemic, and as such, structure of the event and venue will see changes to previous events. An exciting note, this marks a shift in the ICMA host-opportunity to a mid-western region and is expected to allow for some of the highest levels of attendance to date.
The event will be held in the Greater Columbus Convention Center and run between September 17th-21st.The focus of the event is to equip city/county management with the tools to make their communities a better place to live, work, and play. Global Sensor System’s attendance should help to spark conversations about the completeness of fleet safety solutions, and the actions municipal governments and county authorities make to safeguard their constituents and how to prevent accidents.
This year sees award winning keynote speaker Soledad O’Brien, one of the most recognized names in broadcasting, discussing the social issues present affecting city/county management and how to disrupt for positive change as a decision maker. Additionally, more than 250 speakers will be attending and be speaking to a host of issues across the entire spectrum of issues and departments present in local government.
The GSS team will be located at Booth #230 and is preparing for engaging and thoughtful conversations with attendees (they will also have some free giveaways)!
